“I begin to begin again” depicts an intrapersonal exploration into the notion of memory, through the aesthetics of traces and scarring. Topographics of the human body are embedded into cross sections of stripped stringybark, drawing parallels between the survival and often overlooked similarities between human and nature. Exploring how one can learn from our natural surroundings and the adaptable nature of an instinctual longing to thrive in an environment, despite ongoing devastation.
Healing is ingrained into their being and thus the question arises; if this regeneration is too ingrained in ours?
